1. Who we are
Find a Good Place ("we", "us") provides an online service that gives an informational read on the character of an area around a UK address — the street, the surrounding neighbourhood and the wider area — together with details of nearby amenities. By using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. What the service is — and is not
The service helps you explore an area around a UK address by gathering publicly available street-level imagery and place information (such as nearby schools, shops, GP surgeries and places to eat) in one place — saving you the time of searching it yourself. It is general information, not professional advice (legal, financial, surveying, valuation or otherwise), not a statement of fact about any specific property or person, and not a substitute for your own research, viewings and professional surveys. The information describes the public realm and can be incomplete, out of date or inaccurate (including third-party place data such as opening dates, ratings and business details). Do not rely on it as the sole basis for any decision, including whether to buy, rent or move.
3. Accounts, credits and payment
Some features require an account, created with your email address via a one-time sign-in link. The service runs on credits: checking an area uses a set number of credits (shown in the app), and re-opening the same address in the same day does not use further credits. New accounts receive a small number of free credits to try the service. You can obtain more credits by subscribing to a monthly plan (which adds credits to your balance each billing period) or by buying a one-off credit pack. Prices and the credits included are shown at the point of purchase and may change on reasonable notice.
3a. Credit expiry, cancellation and refunds
Credits expire 60 days after they are purchased or granted (including plan and one-off credits) — unused credits are removed after this period and are not refundable. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, credits and subscription fees are non-refundable, including for unused credits. Free trial credits have no cash value.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the service unlawfully; attempt to circumvent usage limits, authentication, credit charging or payment; scrape, resell or redistribute the content or the underlying imagery; use automated means to create accounts or run area lookups in bulk; or use the service to harass, defame or target any individual or household. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms.
5. Third-party imagery and data
The service displays imagery and place information provided by Google (Google Maps Platform), shown with attribution and subject to Google's terms. We do not store this imagery; it is fetched live for display. Map tiles are © OpenStreetMap contributors. We are not responsible for the accuracy of third-party data.
6. Intellectual property
The service and its design are ours or our licensors'. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use the service for your own property research. You must not copy, scrape, resell or redistribute the imagery or place data, or the service's output, at scale or to third parties.
7. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on a report or from use of the service, including decisions about property. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under English law. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect and how we use it.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
